What you will learn
My name is Chris Hill and I'm an addiction expert. In 2014 I lost my twin brother to alcohol and drugs. It was and still is, the most horrendous, painful experience imaginable and I hate the thought of other people suffering in this way.
My own life has been a journey through all kinds of addictions, starting with smoking my first cigarette at the age of seven through to taking crack cocaine and heroin some 20 years later. I always knew there was something fundamentally wrong with what I was doing but I had no way out, or so I thought!
By nature, I am a very determined person and I went in search of the answers to solve my problems. I began reading books based on addiction, I tried various medication issued by my doctor, and I attended addiction clinics and recovery programmes to try to end my cravings for the drugs I was taking. None of these worked long-term.
I educated myself more and more and began to understand the subconscious mind, until I eventually found the answer to beating addiction for good. I have now made it my mission in life to educate others to escape addiction.
WARNING - Stopping substances and medications
Chris Hill is not a doctor, psychologist or nutritionist. He is someone who has been through all kinds of addictions and found his way out to live a completely addiction free life; and is now sharing the knowledge of how he achieved that and the programme he developed.
If you have been addicted long-term to any substance, please consult with your doctor before commencing withdrawal, especially if you are on any medication associated with the addiction. Your doctor will advise you on the best way to stop which may include a period of tapering or planned reduction. Please do not attempt to do this on your own without the advice of a medical professional.
WARNING regarding stopping alcohol
Suddenly stopping drinking alcohol may cause serious alcohol withdrawal symptoms, especially if you are drinking heavily or are alcohol dependent.
Not everyone who drinks will experience serious side effects if they stop altogether and quickly. Many people have successfully stopped drinking using my programme with no ill effects at all. However, it is not worth the risk.
Please consult with your doctor on how you may be able to stop drinking alcohol safely and then you can use the methods I teach on my programme alongside the advice your doctor gives you.

Information from www.drinkaware.co.uk
Dr Sarah Jarvis of Drinkaware’s Medical Advisory Panel points out that "psychological symptoms are very common, and not just if you're a really heavy drinker. You can have short-term problems even with relatively low levels of alcohol consumption if you've become used to drinking really regularly.”
Psychological symptoms can include irritability, poor concentration, feeling shaky, feeling tired, difficulty sleeping or bad dreams. Physical alcohol withdrawal symptoms including trembling hands, sweating, headache, nausea, vomiting, palpitations and lack of appetite are less common, but are often a sign that the sufferer was drinking at worrying levels.
Severe physical side effects include convulsions, confusion, fever and even hallucinations. If you experience physical withdrawal symptoms of any kind, you should see your doctor as soon as possible.
Your doctor may be able to prescribe medication that can help with alcohol withdrawal symptoms, and will be able to refer you to a specialist alcohol team for support. They can also offer counselling and psychological support, and can put you in touch with local support groups to help you stay on track.
